Turkey ... with the Iron Butt Rider

“Hello, my name is Kyr from The Iron Butt Rider project, and I am doing a motorcycle tour around the world with my father.”

The Iron Butt Rider's trip continued in Turkey with great enthusiasm. During our brief talk with them about Turkey, we couldn't help but be struck by their eagerness and excitement.

"Turkey, we felt that our adventure was starting here! Far from home, we set out to discover new cultures and unique places ... Our main points of interest in Turkey were Cappadocia and the D915, known as the world's most dangerous road. Unfortunately, we ran out of gas for the first time in this country, but after just 5 minutes of being stranded, we were rescued by two adventurous motorcyclists from the Czech Republic who filled our jerry cans."

1. Cappadocia

Cappadocia is definitely a place with breathtaking natural beauty and unique geological formations. The region is known for its fairy chimneys, cave dwellings, and unique rock formations that are unlike anything else in the world. Riding the motorcycle through the rolling hills and valleys of Cappadocia is a truly unforgettable experience that combines stunning views with the thrill of the open road.

In addition to its natural beauty, Cappadocia is also rich in history and culture, making it a great place to explore on two wheels. The area was once home to ancient civilizations, and there are many historic sites and ruins to visit, including rock-cut churches and monasteries, underground cities, and castles.

Finally, the locals in Cappadocia are incredibly friendly and welcoming to visitors, making it a great place to stop and soak in the culture, relax, and sample the local cuisine. With its combination of stunning natural beauty, rich history, and welcoming locals, Cappadocia is the perfect destination for motorcycle travelers.

2. D915, Turkey.

The D915 road, also known as the "Road of Death," is considered one of the most dangerous roads in the world. This road winds through the mountainous regions of the Black Sea and Northeast Anatolia in Turkey, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
The D915 road is known for its steep inclines, narrow curves, and lack of guardrails or safety features. These challenging conditions make it a popular destination for experienced riders and drivers seeking an adrenaline-fueled adventure. The road's high elevations, unpredictable weather conditions, and rough terrain can make it a difficult and dangerous journey for those who are not well-prepared.
Despite its dangers, the D915 road continues to attract thrill-seekers and tourists looking for a unique and challenging travel experience. For those who are up to the task, the road offers stunning vistas of the surrounding landscapes, and the opportunity to test their driving skills and nerves.
It is important to note that the D915 road can be hazardous and is not suitable for everyone. It is recommended that travelers exercise caution and be prepared for the unpredictable conditions and potential dangers of the road. It is always best to seek local advice and be informed about the road conditions before embarking on any journey.

From the breathtaking views of the D915 road to the cultural richness of Istanbul, Turkey has something to offer for every type of traveler.
Whether you are an experienced rider seeking a new challenge or just looking to escape the daily grind and experience something new, Turkey is the perfect destination. With its unique blend of history, natural beauty, and cultural diversity, Turkey offers a truly unforgettable experience for those who are willing to take the journey
