2. About this Privacy Policy
With this Privacy Policy, we aim to inform our clients, business partners, consumers, and the general public about the personal data we collect and how, the specific and legitimate purposes for which we process it, how long we retain it, and the rights data subjects hold, among other relevant information.
3. Confidentiality and Privacy
4. What Data Do We Collect and How?
Personal data is information that identifies, directly or indirectly, a natural person (the data subject), particularly by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, preferences, among others.
We collect only the information strictly necessary and relevant to the intended purposes. As such, we may collect the following data: name, phone contact, email address, and postal address; date of birth, tax identification number, and payment details included on product invoices; and information included in CVs provided by the data subject.
We collect such personal data through interactions you have with us, such as filling out contact forms available on our websites, possible interactions via social media, product registration, newsletter subscription, job applications on our website, and in the context of online sales contracts. We may also collect it from our distributors when handling complaints.
5. For What Purposes Do We Process Data?
We process personal data provided to us for the following specific purposes:
Contact and complaint forms – to follow up on the content of the form and provide an appropriate response.
Product registration – to extend the product warranty from 3 to 4 years and for product tracking purposes.
Newsletter subscription – to regularly send updates on the Polisport World.
Job applications – for immediate or future recruitment purposes.
Online sales – to process orders and deliver products purchased remotely.
The data processing is legitimized by the data subject’s consent, legitimate interests pursued by the Controller, or the fulfillment of legal obligations, as applicable.
6. How Long Do We Retain Data?
The data retention periods, by purpose, are as follows:
- Contact and complaint forms – data is retained for one year from the initial communication.

- Online sales – data is retained until the order is fully processed and delivered.
7. Who do we transfer personal data to?
We only pass on your personal data to third parties in the context of after-sales service, to respond to requests for information or complaints, in two specific cases: to the transport company, if it is necessary to send products; to the local distributor, who is carefully selected by us, in order to speed up the process and resolve the issue. Without prejudice, you should consult the Privacy Policy of the specific transport company or local distributor.

- Right of access to their personal data, as well as to obtain confirmation as to whether or not it is being processed, and to other information, such as the purposes of the processing;
- Right to rectification - you may request the rectification of inaccurate, outdated or incomplete data;
- Right to erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”) - you can ask for your data to be erased in the following circumstances: if the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and there is no legal rule requiring it to be kept for longer; if you have withdrawn your consent, where consent was the basis for the processing; if you have objected to the processing of the data and there are no overriding legitimate interests of the Data Controller that justify it; if consent for the processing of the data has been given by your legal representatives; among others.

If they withdraw their consent, their data will no longer be processed, but the withdrawal of consent does not compromise the lawfulness of the processing of personal data that has been carried out up to that date on the basis of the consent previously given.
