The Swedish round has been one of the toughest of the season for the young riders because the track conditions of the second moto were really hard due to the heavy rain that had been falling during the whole morning.
KTM Silver Action’s Tim Gajser obtained a consistent victory yesterday, crossing the finish line with thirty seconds advantage over Pauls Jonass, who was second. This morning, the Slovenian rider admitted that he found the track really difficult, but although he did not have a good start, he was able to get the lead already in the second lap. Gajser is now leading the series with 77 points advantage over the second, so with only two more rounds to go, the KTM rider has a high chance to be proclaimed UEM EMX125 champion already in the next round in Great Britain.
Pauls Jonass was second overall in Uddevalla this weekend thanks to his two second positions, and thanks to this result, the Latvian rider has moved from twelfth to seventh in the championship. Had Jonass started the season with such results, he could have been closely battling with Gajser for the red plate. However, the Latvian rider has still some possibilities to finish among the top three of the championship.
Norwegian rider Magne Klingsheim was third overall after finishing sixth yesterday and third today. The Nestaan JM Racing KTM rider had a bad start yesterday, but he was able to move from the fourteenth initial position until sixth. Today Klingsheim took a good start and rode a solid moto in the third position from beginning to end.
The fourth overall place was for Italian Davide Bonini, who keeps the third position of the championship with 20 points advantage over fourth classified James Dunn. The Italian admitted that he found the track very difficult yesterday and this is why he finished eighth, whereas today, Bonini started at the front but in the first corner he lost several positions. The UFO Corse Magglia Azzurra rider started recuperating the rhythm, but with four laps to go he crashed and he crossed the finish line seventh.
