Mario Patrão leads the portuguese National Off Road Championship
Second race of the year and second victory for Mário Patrão in the Off Road Championship. The Suzuki RM-Z rider went to the picturesque village of Gavião to dispute the Raid da Ferraria. A 75km off road course that would be completed in three laps.
Patrão was second fastest in the prologue but then he set his sights on the victory for the next day. A sunny day with mild temperatures meant that the course was hard, slippery and fast.

The fight for the top step of the podium was intense. Antonio Maio never gave an inch to the Polisport rider and only in the the third lap Patrão sealed the victory by an astonishing 5 seconds. Patrão leads the overall and the TT2 class with 50 points on both classes.

Mário Patrão. " In the prologue I could not avoid some errors that took me off track twice. On Sunday I knew that I had a 50% chance of winning the race.  I felt more confident and I think I controlled the race well, despite the extra effort needed to overcome the limitations caused by injuries received in my last participation in S. Quintino. This was the second victory of this year and I feel that the team is on track to achieve our goals.
I would like to thank my sponsors, my team, and friends and the spectators who decided to support the sport with their presence."
