Davy Pootjes on the podium in internationale race in Lommel
In the week before the race in Lommel, Davy had a trainingsweek in Spain, he only raced on hardpack tracks, and he had to start on a brand new bike he did not ride yet in training he showed that the training in spain was good for him, he set the fasted lap and had pole position.
In the first heat he was 4th in the start and showed he was fast soon he took the 3th place but during the heat he could not get his good rithem and crasched two times, this costed him some places and endet up on 9th place
In the second heat Davy wanted to show he was fast and he took the Holeshot in the race, in the first lap he made a mistake and came in 3th position, now Davy got the good rithem and he closed the gap soon, from lap 4 he took the number one position and never looked back ending up in first position in heat two
With a 9th and 1st position Davy ended up on a 3th position and the end off the day, his first podium off this year 2011.
Next week Davy will go to spain again to have a good training and then on 13-03-2011 the first race off the Open Dutch Championship in Gemert.
