Prestigious Eurobike Award Now Open for Application
FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany - The international cycling industry can now enter online to win the coveted award. The Eurobike Award will once again be hosted by Messe Friedrichshafen and organized by iF International Forum Design GmbH, Hannover, during Eurobike 2011.
Manufacturers, designers and engineers are invited to enter their innovative products in the race online up until 25 July 2011. A special award, the Eurobike Green Award, will be presented to one product that is particularly environmentally compatible and sustainable for the fourth time.
The Eurobike Award is due to be held for the seventh time this year. The applications deadline is 25 July 2011. Entries in the competition are being accepted in 17 categories:
This year, the jury of experts will include: Nils Holger Moormann (Designer), Hans-Heinrich Pardey (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung), Jack Oortwijn (Bike Europe & Tweewieler), Ulrike Saade (Velokonzept Saade GmbH), Peter Feld (Fahrrad XXL Feld GmbH) and Dirk Zedler (Institut für Fahrradtechnik und -Sicherheit GmbH). All judging will take place in Hannover on 16 and 17 August.
The Eurobike Awards Ceremony is scheduled to take place in Friedrichshafen on 31 August at 6 pm on the fashion stage in Foyer East. All the award-winning products will be on display in Foyer West during the show from 31 August to 3 September 2011.
